Six player co op!

Xbox.com recently let slip on their website that Resident Evil 6 will feature 6 player online co-op, and up to 8 player online. Perhaps similar to what we saw in Resident Evil 5? Time will tell, but with 6 player co-op, perhaps we can expect some special ops gamemode, or even a return to Mercenaries mode.

Resident Evil 6 trailer released!

That's right, Resident Evil 6 has finally been shown the light of day, after the http://www.nohopeleft.com/ viral campaign, we all got what we were expecting.

The trailer sure as hell doesn't disappoint either!

The story is set ten years after the Raccoon city incident. The President plans to reveal what really happened there, but before this can happen, the White House is attacked by a Bio-Terrorist threat, leading Leon to make an incredibly hard decision when he arrives to the state his long time friend is in. At the same time, Chris Redfield is on call to China to kerb the threat of Bio-Terrorism. We also know that the third character (Unknown, not fully revealed yet) will be in another country (See below for more!) fighting BOW's. This is now truly a global fear. There is no hope left.

What can we expect?

Well, as we can see from the trailer, we can expect Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield, and potentially an unknown male as the main characters we control throughout the story. We also know that there will be two/three MAIN locations of the game. The first being where we control Leon Kennedy, the Raccoon City-esque TALL OAKS. We can expect to see the 'traditional' zombies we so much love from the classic games, except, more lively. The trailer also shows that some form of the Las Plagas or similar disease will also feature in both parts of the game.

The second location in the game is China. This is where we will be playing as Chris Redfield, leading a clean-up/rescue team/spec ops of sorts. It appears crowd control will be required in some places for this section of the game. We also see Chris fighting with Humans in a firefight. Most likely these are bio-terrorists who Chris has been sent to eliminate. I assume that this section of the game will be a direct continuation from Resident Evil 5, after all, Excella DID escape from Chris and Sheva, so perhaps she is one of the antagonists? More on this soon.

Now, for something I don't know for sure. The trailer features a blonde girl, who I presume to be Ashley from Resident Evil 4. She is helping somebody who we don't know the name of, however, it would appear he has been empowered by the outbreak, and has exceptional speed and strength. (Think Alice from the movies, or even compare him to Wesker. Except on a good day.) It would appear we also get to play as him. The setting for his portion of the game is one I am not sure of. It would appear to be Russia. Again, unconfirmed, but just my thoughts.

This one can pick you up and throw you. Will probably take a lot of firepower to put down as well.

NOW THIS is the interesting one. This is the antagonist for the third character. Should be a good fight.

At first I related this to Nemesis, but now I believe this is far from Nemesis. Should prove interesting gameplay.
